Tiça Camargo is a Brazilian visual artist, researcher, creator of the Agroforestry Aesthetics methodology, and founder of Pirilimpimpim/Floreá Botanical Perfumery. For over fifteen years, she has been developing work at the intersection of art, plants, traditions of natural and spiritual healing, and practices of care, investigating the relationships between art, memory, human behavior, beauty, and ritual.
Memory guides her research. As a member of the Social Technology of Memory and the Biografêmeas Women's Oral Histories Collective, she brings together art, affection and diverse forms of knowledge, connecting botanical perfumery, image consulting, dance, spirituality, orality, ancestry and plant medicine.
Her practice integrates Reincarnation Psychotherapy, Akashic Records, phytotherapy, aromatherapy, botanical perfumery, chakra alignment, crystal therapy and chromotherapy. Through scent, image, movement, deep listening and ritual, she creates experiences that encourage the emergence of memories, affections and new forms of understanding.
Her career includes more than 150 artistic productions, educational projects involving more than 3,000 young people, and work developed across Brazil and Europe.
For the past six years, her botanical perfumes have been used by therapists in the Czech Republic. In Mallorca, where she is now in her fourth consecutive season, her work continues to cultivate a growing community.
Full Biography
Born in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, Brazil, Tiça Camargo has built a career that spans opera, theatre, dance, performance, education, botanical perfumery and integrative health. Together, these experiences sustain an ongoing inquiry into art, memory, human behavior and practices of care, exploring how human experiences are transformed into awareness, presence and new ways of relating. From this investigation emerged Agroforestry Aesthetics, her original worldview that brings together art, care, memory, belonging and diverse forms of knowledge.
With more than one hundred productions in opera, theatre, dance, performance and contemporary art, she has collaborated with institutions including Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, OSESP, Teatro da Vertigem, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Coimbra Biennial, working alongside Stefano Poda, Yannis Kounellis, Giancarlo del Monaco, John Neschling, Henning Brockhaus, Ismael Ivo, Francesca Harper, Maria Thaís, Christiane Jatahy, Carlos Padrissa and Antônio Araújo.
The observation of nonverbal communication, image consulting, creative processes and human relationships has become one of the foundations of her research, enriched through her work with artists, students and communities across different cultural contexts.
Education is a central dimension of her practice. Since 2011, she has developed projects in arts education, human development and cultural engagement, using art to strengthen autonomy, belonging and the capacity to imagine new futures. Her educational projects have reached more than 3,000 young people throughout Brazil.
Her training brings together Reincarnation Psychotherapy, Akashic Records, phytotherapy, aromatherapy, botanical perfumery, chakra alignment, crystal therapy and chromotherapy, integrated with the study of image, nonverbal communication and symbolic processes.
She graduated from the École Supérieure de Relooking in Paris, is a member of the Biografêmeas Women's Oral Histories Collective, linked to the Museu da Pessoa Institute, and works with the Social Technology of Memory. Dance, samba, traditional knowledge, spirituality and ritual work with plants are enduring influences that continue to shape her practice.
She is the founder of Pirilimpimpim Floreá, a studio dedicated to botanical perfumery and sensory experiences, and the creator of the Agroforestry Aesthetics methodology, applied through individual sessions, collective experiences, educational programs, artistic residencies and cultural projects. Her work understands care as an aesthetic, relational and cultural experience, where scent, image, deep listening, movement and ritual expand perception and encourage new ways of relating to oneself, to others and to place.
Her artistic work, residencies and care-based projects have taken place across Brazil, France, Spain, Portugal and the Czech Republic, building bridges between artistic creation, social memory, practices of care and intercultural dialogue. For the past six years, her botanical perfumes have been used by therapists in the Czech Republic, and in Mallorca, where she is now completing her fourth consecutive season, her work continues to nurture a growing community.
Across different territories, cultures and artistic languages, her research remains dedicated to exploring how art, memory and care can foster processes of individual and collective transformation.
